ANNE KEMPS

Bachelor of Counselling and Provisional Member of NZAC

Anne sees clients from the Life Unlimited rooms in Ponsonby and also in Epsom. She works with individuals and couples in areas such as depression, anxiety, anger, grief, stress, relationship differences, family relationships, drug and alcohol issues, communication, and conflict resolution.

For many years she mentored women helping them reach their potential amidst the ups and downs of their lives.

She is married and has three adult sons and a daughter-in-law.

 

 


CHARLOTTE BELL

Charlotte sees clients at the Life Unlimited rooms in Ponsonby, Auckland. She works with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, family issues, sexual and other abuse, eating disorders and addiction.

Charlotte has a special interest in early childhood deficits and abuse, and how they impact on adult life. Her work is client centred with an integrative gestalt and psychodynamic approach, incorporating a spiritual perspective. She also incorporates psychosomatic integrative psychotherapy. This approach weaves together somatic psychotherapy, developmental needs meeting strategy and lifespan integration.

Charlotte trained in Biblical Counselling with YWAM and in Psychotherapy at AUT.


GEOFF GARTON

MABC, PG Cert, Health Science Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy AUT ,
MNZAC, MNZCCA, approved as a counsellor by ACC.

Geoff sees clients in Ponsonby, Manurewa and Cambridge. He works from a biblical worldview and specialises in marriage, mens issues and abuse issues. Geoff is married with four adult children. He has a Masters Degree in Counselling from Grace Theological Seminary, USA. He also has a post graduate certificate in psychotherapy from AUT.


HELEN HARRIS

Bachelor of Counselling, Approved by ACC. MNZCCA

Helen sees clients at Youthline in Ponsonby, Auckland. She works with individuals across a range of issues including life transition, stress and burnout, anxiety and depression, grief and loss, and the effects of sexual, spiritual and other abuse. She is approved by ACC for working with sexual abuse issues.

Helen is interested in the effects on our wellbeing from difficult life events such as trauma and prolonged stress, and likes to work with people towards regaining their personal sense of value and engagement in life, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.


KAREN LORIMER

Dip Counselling, Spiritual Director, MNZCCA

Karen sees clients in Pakuranga. She offers personal counselling in a wide range of areas including grief and loss, women's anger, self-esteem, life stage transitions, anxiety, burnout, eating disorders, identity issues, and spiritual abuse.

Karen has special interest in early childhood deficits and trauma, and their relationship to shame-bound identities and low self esteem. She believes in the healing power of empathic listening with affirmative presence to facilitate development of self-compassion, restoration of relationship with self and others, and liberation from the life-taking power of shame. Karen works from a narrative therapy stance that integrates other approaches so as to meet people where they are on their human-spiritual journey.


LIZ MALUSCHNIG

Reg Comp Nurse, Spiritual Director, Cert. Biblical Counselling, MNZCCA

Liz is based in Wanaka and offers personal counselling for adults and children in the following areas: stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, abuse, childhood trauma, relationships, cancer support, grief and loss.

She also works as a parent coach to equip parents with effective tools and strategies to meet their children’s needs and enhance family life. She facilitates the Parent’s Inc Toolbox courses on request.

Liz runs the Seasons for Growth groups to assist young people through the issues of grief and loss associated with change, parental separation and death.

Liz co-facillitates the Canlive cancer healing and wellness retreats which are based on the teachings of The Gawler foundation in Australia. Liz teaches meditation and in her work can use Interactive art therapy. She incorporates Psychosomatic Integrative Psychotherapy into her work which uses Somatic psychotherapy, developmental Needs meeting Strategy and Lifespan Integration. Liz trained at the University of the Nations, Hawaii and returned to NZ in 1990 to set up Life Unlimited counselling and seminar services with Charlotte Bell.

Liz believes in the power of  listening to facilitate healing and reconciliation in relationship with others and to one’s self

RHONDA BLISS

MHSc (1st Hons), Grad Dip PscychSoc, BA, Dip Tchg, CLTA, MNZCCA

Rhonda sees clients in Eden Tce, Auckland. She works with a wide range of issues. These include life changes, grief and loss, relationship issues, eating disorders and the effects of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Rhonda works from a psychodynamic basis, integrating other approaches to meet client needs.

Rhonda has a background as a teacher. She completed her Graduate Diploma and Master of Health Science (Psychotherapy) at AUT.

Rob sees clients at the Life Unlimited rooms in Ponsonby and also in Massey. He works in a range of areas specializing in male issues, marriage and relationships, anxiety, depression, burnout, life and career transitions and spiritual crisis. He has twenty years of ministry experience, and also has worked in social work, teaching, management, and labouring gangs.

Rob’s training in counselling includes studies with the University of Auckland, Manakau Institute of Technology, Imago Institute for Relationships, International Institute for Emotionally Focused Relationship Counselling, Solutions Unlimited Family Therapy Training (Rick Whiteside), Unitec & New Zealand Center for Supervison & Mentoring, Bible College of New Zealand and Booth College of Mission.

Robs approaches to counselling include Client centered, Gestalt, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Strategic Therapy, Imago Relationship Therapy,and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy.

Rob offers certificated ministry supervision and mentoring for those preparing for ministry, or for persons in ministry situations. He has done graduate study on maintaining wellbeing amidst the complex dynamics of ministry life.

He has assisted tutoring trainee counsellors at Laidlaw College, and offers specialist counselling and supervision for trainee counsellors.


TONY PARSONS

MA (Hons), Grad Dip Guid and Couns, Dip Tchg, MNZCCA

Tony is based at the Life Unlimited rooms in Ponsonby and also sees clients at rooms in Pakaranga. He sees men and women who present a wide range of issues, with a special interest in anger in men. Tony's approach is client-centred and narrative and aims to meet people wherever they are on the faith journey.

Tony is married with three adult children and a granddaughter. For eleven years Tony was a school counselor and has been in private practice since 2003.
